<<You actually build, or renovate, housing?>>

... have built, mostly renovate. always buy value, and increase value. also advisor to real estate fund counting the likes of fortune 100 pension funds as investors, doing site consolidation and re-development.

<<Or merely purchase a building at a lower price than you sell it?>>

... have only sold stuff in usa, never in hong kong; only buy, renovate, rent, accumulate, buy some more. selling via fund does not count as not my doing.

<<Building a house from scratch "on spec" is one thing.. Creating an entire industry aimed at "flipping" already built houses is non-productive, IMO.>>

... never flipped, so do not know what flipping is.

<<Unlike you, I believe that the economic theories exist to serve the needs of the people. When they become abusive and no longer serve the needs and interests of the citizens of a sovereign nation, they become subversive.>>

... unsure what you mean but sounds like you are against freedom.

<<We're seeing that now where the US Federal Reserve is bailing out foreign banks with TAF funds, with the US taxpayer eventually due to pick up the tab.>>

... am almost sure there are reasons within reasons, else the fed would not be doing it. to get at the reasons, wikileaks might eventually provide the answer, unless that source of illumination is snuffed out by tyranny and forces against freedom.

<<The kind of capitalism that continues to profit on the misery they inflict on people DELIBERATELY because they know the consequences will only occur decades from now, after their management has retired on their pensions and profit-sharing plans.. (example: Asbestos industry)>>

... so where do you stand on cigarettes, macdonalds, proctor n gamble (crisco oil) and such?

<<Can you even define the difference between Communism and Capitalism?

Bet you can't...>>

... communism is where they take all your cows and force you to milk what used to be your cows, and now the people's cows, by the people for the people.

... capitalism is where you put two cows into a bvi-domiciled corporate vehicle, do investor memo and project 5 cows, list the whole schema onto the share market, then fortified with capital, take down a debt facility, and diversify into sheep, and ... lbo privatize the cows, m&a merge the sheep, r&d the pigs, only pay taxes where deserving, pay off politicians and tell them to take a hike ... and and and ... and should you lose money on venture, socialize the losses, and start over again.
