Thats as good a functional discription of "Objectivism", as I've found. Its from the Wikipedia article on Aspergers.

A review of Peikoff's book, Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand"?

I guess he forgot to read the text...it is a philosophical treatise which starts with metaphysics (the foundation of knowledge), then covers epistemology (how our mind functions to build conceptual knowledge from perceptual evidence), then ethics (what is the standard of value, and what virtues are needed in order to achieve these values), then politics (what kind of social structure allows us to live as rational beings seeking values), then art (how does art help us achieve an embodiment of our values).

All philosophies have this type of structure, with a link between metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, politics and aesthetics. In a review, he should cover the essence of each of these topics...if he did not do this, he is not covering the material.

very little of Objectivism has to do with the political left...perhaps some polemical discussion in the political section, but this is very much not at the core of the philosophy of Objectivism.
