Ga Bard. I have to respectfully disagree with you on "buy @ ask"

The MM's make the price.. We either get our price or go to the ask, PERIOD. If they whore the bid/ask around, why is it the buyer at fault??

Very curious !!!

Ga Bard,

while I agree with your observations concerning midpoing trading, (it is costing me a bundle) I don't think we will see the day when it will stop. It is simple supply and demand. Just like people will never stop trying to get a better deal on a car.

IMO all we can do right now is observe and learn the new rules. The MMs still have to sell shares for more than they buy them for. The key to the MMs getting a cheap supply of stocks is walking the price down till someone loses their nerve and sells. Once people figure this out, some may leave because they cannot handle the volatility, others will learn to hold on drops unsubstantiated by fundamentals of the company.

Still learning.
