RE:"I happen to think when their is a song about hi in it, they are really referring to how hi can the market go."

In which case Jim Morrison and the Doors were way ahead of their time...

"The beatles have never said hey jude and lucy are about drugs."

Lennon (and McCartney to this date) repeatedly stated that "Lucy in Sky with Diamonds" was inspired by his 3-year old son's descriptions of a finger painting he'd accomplished.

Ostensibly, then, the Beatles have said Lucy is not about drugs, unless we can assume Julian at 3 was aware of them.

...don't know what the truth is, though, but the story does make a good "fix" from what could be damaging.

The WORDS say otherwise.

Al Capone never "said" he was a criminal.
Does that mean he wasn't?

When you have the words of the song themselves, WHY would you ignore them and instead go by whatever self-serving comments your exalted "Beatles" emit?

(Although I think we can all agree that their pronouncements are of titanic importance).

Do expect them to say, "We are druggies"?

Ali never said he lost a fight. Does that mean he didn't?
What about the fight itself--why wouldn't you look directly at it rather than base your "judgement" on some crap somebody says in his own interest afterwards?
