Rick, All I know is that when I use Yahoo to get quotes on a company, then go to that company's profile, Yahoo gives "Biotech" under industry for AMGN and GILD, but "Drug manufacturers--major" for ABT and MRK. If the lines have become as blurred as you suggest, maybe we should say pharmas are now OK in the contest. If not, then I think the Yahoo descriptions are good criteria for the distinction.
