Richard,

Congratulations on a great buy!!!

I empathize with you on the difference you have to pay for Canadian Stocks. I presume you placed a limit order (the ask price)....the only way to buy these stocks IMO is to place a limit order....somewhere between the spread if it is wide or at the ask if the spread is narrow and you really want the stock).

I found that when I bought Canadian stocks through a US broker, I had to specify a limit order in US$ terms to set the price I would pay. Commissions were high however. This condition led me to trade directly with a Canadian broker on a negotiated discount basis for buying Canadian stocks. Even in Canada, I place only limit orders.

You are also right IMO on the trades showing up in the US.....however, I could see the specific trade I made on Canada Stockwatch when I traded mostly Canadian securities. Now, I keep 95 % of my money south of the Canadian border....mostly in our favorite stocks.

Regret that I rambled on. Congrats again.

1998 will be a great year IMO. The previous bad news about scandals will subside and give the junior exploration stocks a new life after IPM and others make their big announcements. Golden Thunder will participate in the thrills!!!

Best to you and everyone,

Tommy
