The weekly chart of the SOX for this past year shows an overview of what has been posted in the tables as the weeks have gone by. As noted previously in the Group/SOXM table this week, December has been flat to a slight downtrend. Drawing a couple of rough channels, there has been a very nice 15 week uptrend, and now, a 4 week falloff in December. Whether or not this continues is anyone's guess, but last year, Jan was a real downer. That 3 week period took the SOX down from about 370 to under 320. The quarterly reporting season coming up should be good, but as always, the outlook 6 to 12 months out is the only thing that really counts.
