I don't usually post Schaeffer's "Sector" notes, but they've turned bearish on technology, so I thought I'd post the one for this week. Not that they are always right!

Technology
Bearish

Outlook: Analysts in Barron's Roundtable and USA Today are almost unanimous in their bullishness about this group heading into 2011, sending up a red flag from a contrarian perspective. We continue to be particularly bearish toward large-cap stocks within the sector, such as Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT). Both of these large-cap stocks lagged the broad market last year, with MSFT shedding more than 8% and CSCO falling a whopping 15% since the start of 2010. Meanwhile, optimism continues to blanket these shares, with MSFT earning 22 "buy" or better ratings out of 33, while CSCO has 26 "buy" ratings out of a possible 36. Meanwhile, short interest for both stocks accounts for less than 2% of the company's float. Should the bulls finally abandon these large-cap stocks, it could result in a fresh wave of selling.
