Again pardon my brief reply, but I remember when the Chinese government put the huge and internationally important Guangdong Investment bank (GITIC) into bankruptcy a decade ago -- it was a shock to many, but life went on. And there were many other banks that went broke along with them -- very large players. A banking bust would not be a big surprise -- but the issue we are wrestling with here is more the level of systemic risk in China in total -- and I really should give this more thought rather than dash off a reply -- so back to giving it more thought.
