I think it's clear that Applix' Java products have potential as general purpose office tools and to the extent they want to go after that market they will have to compete against Lotus' eSuite, among others. That isn't going to impact the more vertical application spaces which I understand are their primary targets.

BTW, a general purpose Java eSuite that worked would be extremely valuable since no amount of money seems able to buy well-designed software -- ask Oracle's application development tools managers.
