Interesting that so many people - at least here - are so interested in Bolton.

One of the things I like about Bolton is that he calls a spade a spade. He knows that the UN functions nowhere near what the original intent was. It is now a lapdog for third world countries and a gigantic koffee klatch.

They are largely powerless and inept when it comes to addressing the significant issues of the world.

They issue a resolution which accomplishes zip.

The USA should insist that the funding of the UN be addressed.

I once read that Stalin was a big proponent and principle reason for locating the UN in NYC. He wanted a way to get more of his KGB types into the US. Further, if located in the NYC, he knew the USA would be obligated to pay more of the tab for the UN.

And that's where we are....

Bolton would never make it imo too strong a personality. most of the winners kiss up. Bolton appears to be firm and not flexible in action.
