We had some windows replaced this summer on our 1920's house. They guy taped some plastic down, that's about it.

The lead abatement law was effective 22 Apr 2010.
Completion of a training course is required.

OSHA enforcement action for lead abatement on replacement window renovations began on 30 Sep 2010.
I seem to recall the penalty for not doing it right is $1500 per window.
