The valuation is taken at the end of 2011 not it's peak at any time. If you check XOMA's PRs and results delivered, you would probably not fare well by selecting XOMA. My guess is that it's unlikely to hold onto the gain throughout the quarter let alone the year. In past years, honourable people have participated in the contest. Clearly, if you know any of the winners, or checked the charities that benefited from the contest, my guess is that you'd be a bit more charitable yourself. And if currency conversion is a concern, just ask Bulbaman exactly what info source he has used for the past couple years - or check the 2009 or 2010 contest threads. It's likely that the info is there as well.
