Exxon stock is within a very small move to best the high of just over a year ago. Its a good time to be covered and in cash. Wait and see if the current trend breaks through that high or not. I have probably guessed wrong that it will make a short corrective move but that is just due to the sloppiness of my trading skills.

I like XOM and want to be in an ownership position but just not at this high price level. Last year the stock dropped from low $76 all the way into June in the high $50ish price level making for a wonderful entry point for those that were more skilled at maneuvering money than me. The BP oil spill probably contributed to that low. I don't expect the same sort of move to occur this year but I remain cautious.

Next week I will continue to evaluate my decision and will probably be a buyer.
