Obviously ... removing the carbon from the rockosphere is stripping the planet's diamagnetic shield. Now we prepare to reap our own doom as the poles flip (they already flipped from east to west in '88, killing the Soviet Union) from north to south, meaning that it's the Confederacy's turn for a glorious few years before the continents collide and the oceans simmer and carnosaurs waddle onto the beaches from the newly defrosted ocean depths and chase us screaming across the baking deserts of Canada because the dollar collapsed and the Canexicans won't sell us the fuel that was our birthright.

The good news is that with the magnetic field gone, the carnosaurs will be confused and run into each other before the ozone fries their primitive retinas and they become food for the terror birds. Before those die in their unexplained thousands.

The end is nigh.
