The Koran was written by a group of scribes as mohammad dictated it (although there is some controversy about how these writings were later compiled into the final Koran). The commentaries, which are held to be as sacred as the Koran itself were written later to much later.

I paraphrased the talking heads as best I could and could have stated erroneously, but I heard nothing like what you suggest. I have no reason to doubt it, however.


mo ham ed could neither read nor write and as I recall the so called holy koran was not written until many years after his death...so those that wished to control others could put whatever they wished into their book.
