I watched a good bit of the Bernanke testimony before Conrad's Senate committee, and it was interesting because Conrad himself spent a good bit of time bringing up the financial problems of the states and how his committee 'needed to be ready for them'. They also talked about ways for states to 'creatively' use financial instruments to help them out of their predicament. I got the feeling the big ones like CA and ILL will get help if things get much worse for them. Regards, John
