The article appears to be from 2007:

Mr. Michael Sylver started Just Like Sugar Inc., in July 2003 with total sales of approximately $320,000 to in excess of $46MN in sales and orders in the year 2007. He aims to make Just Like Sugar Inc. a billion dollar company in the year 2009.

Note that the 2007 projection includes the words "and orders". Why not make it a gazillion dollars, as in "my five year old ordered a gazillion dollars worth..."?

The most recent news is a so-called review by the food editor of Vogue. According to Sylver, Vogue said "The results were way better than expected..." In reality, the magazine did a review of artificial sweeteners with a paragraph about Just Like Sugar. He left out the rest of the line, which was "..., but still short of awesome" which is in reference to Amazon's marketing claims. crossfitethos.com

In any event, I thought he'd be in jail by now.

Just Like Sugar is not a sugar substitute. It is a sweetness substitute.

Um, shouldn't that be "dulciness"?

1300 employees? Maybe he finally pulled it off.
