Even though I belong to the NRA I am all for waiting periods and background checks. As a militant centrist (Sarah probably is painting crosshairs on me as we speak) I exercise the unbelievably annoying right to not conform. (grin) As for how to weed out the undiagnosed nutbars, I have no idea. Innocent 'til proven guilty has much to recommend for it. In the meantime, it's worth saying that the laws against doing mean andor dumb things with guns are imo airtight and comprehensive. It is insufficient consolation, but this guy is going to be sent up for life.
