I was offended by the innuendo that Sheriff indulged in. Obviously Fox was too, because they repeated only sanitized segments.

That press conference was useless, in my opinion. I learned nothing I did not already know.

The thing that astonished me was there were no questions about the identity of the people (two, it now seems) who tackled the perp and disarmed him.

To me, those people should get all the attention. Perhaps it's for their own protection they're not being identified, which I can understand.

They are heroes, and there should be more like them in the world.

The Secret Service paid a visit to Air America's Randi Rhodes after she called for the assassination of Bush on her radio show. I don't believe they've ever visited a conservative talker.
