Given yesterday's events, it seems crazy to suggest anything else.

The problem is autoloading and large mags. You can chop anything down if you think concealment is an issue. A 30 cal carbine chops very nicely, and is quite controllable without a stock. An autoloading 12 guage like this saiga-12.com would do substantially more damage than AZ Idiot did.

The fortunate thing is that most of these guys are too nutty to be good at doing anything. Can you imagine how many people could be killed in such a situation if the nutcase were competent?

I generally am rather anti-gun for precisely this reason: Guns allow dimwits to cause damage. Smart people can still cause damage sans the gun. AZ Idiot could have killed that many driving his jacked up truck over them too. But for some reason, guns convey a sense of power that inspires misbehavior in these miscreants. They don't look at their truck and get the same inspiration.

Funny how one of the primary claims of our Constitution is to protect the "Right to Life" but another portion of our Constitution has greatly helped the violation of that 1'st obligation down through the years. Not likely to change in the USA though.
