Steve,
The volume on that day was over 2M...thus amounting to nearly 1/2 the normal monthly volume. This probably shook out the 'loose hand holders' of the stock. As mentioned in an earlier PM, long term QDEL is a good place to be as their market is a nice niche for certain future event drivers for the stock. As I predicted, this latest Q would be subpar, as in the fall of 2009 there were waiting lines for the flu shot because of the constant news about the flu season. As an anecdotal event I monitor one of the out-patient clinics located in my local grocery store. Over the past few months, as compared to 2009--------no traffic for those seeking cold/flu treatment.

The diversification efforts by QDEL should give them a more balanced revenue stream.
