About what I'd expect a cop to say. I bet he watches CSI too. Vitriolic rhetoric at a football game, at a bar, at a beauty pageant, maybe someday SI, fill in the blank. One line sound bites like that are printed on the back side of the Miranda Rights card he carries with him.

Complete and utter bs. Considering the complete disregard for their constituents that our elected leaders have, their massive daily truckloads of lies, their complete hypocrisy on all things essential, seeing one murdered every 20 years or so in a hiccup. A battered wife can't even get the cops to respond to a 911 call in this country. In case anyone has missed it, this shooter was 5 beers short of a six pack. Anyone here who has blamed this on political rhetoric has, IMO, jumped the shark at the least and needs to seriously check his or her brain for a recent scrubbing by Big Sis. Talk about straining at gnats and swallowing camels....
