My mother does it your way. Look in her linen closet and you can't tell a fitted sheet from a flat sheet. Drives me crazy because I can't even come close.

This is one of the reasons I have a waterbed ;)

The seams are on the inside, so if you turn it inside out, the sheet is more square.

Actually I got that idea from Ask Marilyn - she answered a question by saying the "inside" is the correct side according to the washing machine and dryer!
