That gun was a work of art. Lots of gold filled engravings that matched barrel to barrel. I'd bet the carry case which was made out of exotic wood was worth a new car.

The gun was an H&H which are all hand made. Two weeks for a real craftsman to file out just the receiver. Half are ruined during the tempering from warping.

This shop was in the Cape not far from your old home base.

A little tip on plinking with hand guns. Load a .44 mag with .44 specials or a .357 with .38 specials. Big framed pistole tames those big loads. Gotta clean the chambers but a lot easier to shoot.
