Excellent article Mary. I think it may be the most cogent comments I have seen on this matter. I do not think Loughner was motivated by any recognizable political motive. The kid was insane. The only political issue in play is the ridiculous access to real WMD's at the local gun shop. A Glock capable of hurling 30 missiles in a a quarter of a minute is much more a WMD than what Bush used to start a war against a country that didn't attack us. The most culpable entity in this fiasco is the NRA and the cowards who kow tow to their demands.
