That may be true, but would like some kind of substantiation.

Here in AZ. where the gun laws are very lax, it's getting very close to OK Corral time. I'm imagining the same is happening in the U.S. as a whole as well.

It's worth pointing out (even if the tone on this thread has become hostile to civilian gun ownership) that for every terminal idiot like Loughner there are millions of more-or-less decent folk in America today who own guns.

Hey, Jacque, I think it helps to make a distinction here. In her NYTimes op ed piece, Collins argued a familiar theme, gun ownership for hunting purposes but not the sort of guns the Arizona shooter had. Makes a great deal of sense to me. And even more sense if I were a law enforcement officer.s
