You know what's really funny? Blue Dog "Gabby" Gifford was a STRONG supporter of the second amendment and owned at least one handgun and had a carry permit of her own! Probably necessary for ANY AZ pol.

I don't know if she was packing that day. I don't know the sequence of the shooting - did she just get shot before she could return fire? Would her gun have bulged in her go-to-political-meeting clothes?

That's info is based on stuff gleaned from acquaintances who have described him as a left wing pothead....

he was just a wacko...no real political affiliation at all.
