I can't speak for Bill, but many conservatives don't support going to a gold or silver standard. As For Mein Kampf, that has essentially no connection whatsoever to "my side", whether you mean specifically me, conservative, libertarian, or Republican. Also as was pointed out he quoted the communist manefesto (and not in a way that would seem to indicate he was against it). But all this doesn't matter nearly as much as many partisans on both sides make it out to matter. The problem was not his political ideology, the problem is that he was evil and/or crazy. ------------ What were Jared Loughner’s Politics? Given the vagaries of the internet and social media, things may not be what they appear to be. 3. Again, whatever Loughner’s politics, his probable mental state and mental problems are likely to be both the proximate and the ultimate cause of his actions, not any political orientation he might have. volokh.com
