I am not aware of a single landing and/or pickup from a hot LZ.

You are not going to operate a 65 Million dollar Helicopter out of a hot LZ. Just too vulnerable. Good flying truck. But not a combat vehicle.

Anyone who would ride in an Osprey should get a bronze star or something for bravery. I wouldn't go near one.

I thought the current mission of the USMC was to go in as a self-contained unit with broad capabilities. If they need the Army for support, that isn't consistent with self-sufficiency.
