Heck
They're trying to blame the left for him now.

But this works as a great screen. People who are trying to pin this on one side or the other are hopeless ideologues, avoid them- they bring nothing to the party but a one way mirror- reflecting their absolutely rock solid, unchangeable, beliefs. No new evidence is wanted.

The moderates are going to be saying- yes, the rhetoric in this country is crazy bad right now, maybe we should tone it down. They might also be wondering how we can keep guns, especially guns with the lethality of the kind this kid had, out of the hands of nuts.

I'm glad we're finally talking about the rather kooky rhetoric in this country. It's a sad sad thing that caused the dialog, but we shouldn't try to stomp on a positive that might come out of this- namely a little more responsibility on the part of everyone, no matter what side, when they use language that could be considered violent, or which could be seen as encouraging violence. Who could possibly have a problem with that? I know, I know- some people seem to, but really, maybe that's another handy "tell" for who we should be ignoring. Not everyone has something valuable to say. Some people are just headed the wrong way.
