Even though I hate to see the stock dropping like this, but we all know that this is the nature of this stock. It can drop 30% in one week and then come roaring back the next! Look at the chart for Jan. 1, 1996. The stock came down from 36 to 22 and then climbed back up again to 36, all in the same month. Last Oct., there was a reason for the drop but there is no reason for the drop now. I think they are going to meet the estimates for this Q or beat it. Also, 1998 is supposed to be a good year. I believe that once the window dressing is over which is sometime this month, then we see it coming back to 30 or very close to it before the year is over. Lets hope for the best! To All: I called share owner relations yesterday (Wed) at 2:00 CST. The secretary said the person I needed to talk to was busy returning share owner's calls and would have to call me back. I haven't received that call. She did tell me that the company did not know why the stock is falling, but they were trying to find out. One possibility, (other than ones mentioned here): Open interest in Nov 27 1/2 puts is 4473, in Nov 25 puts it's 2222. MM's could have been taking the price down to get the Nov 25 put business next week, and triggered a little panic selling on falling price. I have no proof of this, just a possibility. If I get the call from DSC today, I will post any info. Mark H
