Well, too bad - learn to live with it while your son gets incarcerated.

RE:Meanwhile, the leader of Westboro Baptist Church, an anti-gay Kansas-based church best known for picketing the funerals of slain U.S. soldiers and gay-pride gatherings, said its members will picket the funerals of the 9-year-old girl and five others killed in Saturday's attack.

WTF? Too bad somebody hasn't gone psycho on this Phelps guy.

Yes, we can do better. Somehow, the Government and the citizens have deemed to ignore mental illness, and to act as if there is no problem with some of the people that have some of the attributes of a potential killer.

Maybe someday, hopefully soon, we will stop blaming guns....stop blaming words, and start turning to the real problem. The problem IS us....Pogo was right, IMO.

We DO need to have facilities that are able to keep mental patients who need help. Some of these people will need to be inside, not walking the streets, for possibly the rest of their lives. But so far, all of this has fallen on deaf ears since the days of the JFK and RFK when JFK signed the "Deinstitutionalization Law" in 1963.

Did the parents not think their son had problems? Or was it there was no help for him available? It's going to be interesting to see what the fall out is here....

I liked what "Gabby" brother in law said from space....

Flight controllers in Houston fell silent as Scott Kelly spoke via radio from space. "We have a unique vantage point here aboard the International Space Station," he said. "As I look out the window, I see a very beautiful planet that seems very inviting and peaceful. Unfortunately, it is not."

"These days, we are constantly reminded of the unspeakable acts of violence and damage we can inflict upon one another, not just with our actions, but also with our irresponsible words," he said. "We're better than this. We must do better."
