Nice timing Mason-that is telling us NOW to get defensive. I mean if you own big name tech stocks, isn't it a little late for that??

Glad to hear you are holding all that cash. If we had had an up week, I guess you would have told us you had just loaded up on stocks. Get Real!

Steve

<<Guys, I hope all of you read Jess Beltz's earlier message, live from Hong Kong.>>

That was one very fine piece of reporting by Jess and I should have thanked him earlier when I read it. I forwarded his post to many friends.

He certainly scared the *!&% out of me about a pending SE Asia collapse. Never knew all that stuff about Hyundai and Korea.

I spoke with a Merrill Lynch broker and he agreed with Jess and added that "by Western standards, every Japanese bank is insolvent" and that the Japanese have been selling good investments to prop up bad investments. If things get worse, the Japanese hold 25% of the US debt and if they start selling that, we will feel some pain here.

Here is a list of Price-To-Sales ratios at the close today
on selected Techs. I would urge each and every one of you
to print this list out and file it away for 2 years. These are
buying opps in High Tech stocks that come along once every 2-3 years.

Also, if any of you guys/gals do not work in the real world (must
be nice to be on SI all day!), let me add how incredibly out
of touch
this stock market is with the real picture in
the United States. It is very frustrating to see Stocks behave
in such a fashion when this economy is BOOMING. Hong Kong
is Hong Kong--and I agree with what was said earlier, "When is it
bullish to be overtaken by Communists?".

Enjoy. (PS--I have bolded some techs that are EXTREMELY cheap in
my mind. The ones italicized are ones I would AVOID even now).
