but I think she basically said that if he had been formally arrested and the police had formally requested the shooter receive a mental evaluation, that paper trail would have turned up on a background check and blocked his purchasing of a weapon. Two comments; If we start giving mental evaluations to everyone who needs one - the Tea Party is going to have to change their thinking towards health care spending in America. If you block his legal efforts to buy a gun - he will buy one off the street. He sure didn't have any problems buying illegal drugs did he?
