These are things you didn't want to know, and regret having heard. Well, it's not OK, and although I didn't want to know this I don't regret having heard it because now I know. It's all too obvious that the gulf between our cultures is so vast that we will need a millennium to bridge it, and that's if we do the right thing and get the hell out of there now. If we attempt to mold theirs to be more like ours, it will just blow up in our face and cost even more dearly in lives and treasure. What is the military objective over there anyway? I thought it was to put Osama bin Laden out of business. Perhaps we should get back to that and leave the nation building to the locals.
