In the 2010 contest, I had 2 stocks that were up about 150% - both were allocated at 5%. The 2 stocks I had allocated to 20%, were down 20%,40% and I had a third stock that was allocated at 10% and was down close to 60%!! My portfolio did have a gain at the end of the year, so its quite clear that if I had allocated the 2 winners at 20% and the 3 losers at 5%, my final gains would have been quite substantial. I am not sure I that I would have had a chance to beat rkrw but I am pretty sure I would have been in the top 5 (I do believe).

Isn't hindsight wonderful!
