Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) reportedly plans to introduce legislation that would make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress.

You know , upon reading this from the link you provided, the absolutely first thing that popped into my head is that it sounded a whole lot like the creation of a noble class where the progression would be bowing to them in the future. But of course I quickly dismissed that notion because that couldn't possibly happen here.
