oh, definitely. He made it very clear that he felt that what Obama was doing (encouraging dialogue) was exactly what was needed for Iran. Reza made it clear that what Obama was doing was making things much worse.

I thought Reza would jump out of his shoes at one point because of what the professor was saying. He was basically saying that Iran is nothing to worry about, that they are more practical than ideological and not to worry about them. Settle the Palestinian problem and everything will be fine in the world. He also said that they know if they attacked Israel, there would be nothing left of Iran. He got a positive reaction to that. This man is a founding director of the Center for Iranian Studies at Tel Aviv University. He teaches!! As JXM said, he is a liberal elitist. Just make nice and everything will be fine.

I'm still trying to figure out how the hostess decided I wasn't Jewish because of my hair. Earlier, before we met the hostess, JXM asked if women knew how awful they looked when they have extensive plastic surgery. It was clear she's had several tune-ups - as did several of the other ladies of a certain age group. Maybe that was it, because it's pretty clear that I haven't had any tune-ups - and don't plan to.
