The cry of the Conservative is "if only we were in power".

The cry of the libertarian is "if only the government had less power."

And yet the way that the conventional political spectrum is configured, libertarians are placed on the far right, one step past "conservatives" and along side bedfellows such as Hitler, Mussolini, Pinochet, etc..

This definition of left/right is ludicrous, but certainly suits the purpose and agenda of the MSM and the nanny government statists on the left..

Until libertarians figure out that an armed forces is what protects that freedom, they will remain an insignificant force in politics.
