If you want to know how bad it is, Uhaul will charge you $297 for a trailer to tow from Cleveland to Dallas. But they will only charge you $174 from Dallas to Cleveland.

Yep. If the economic pie may be shrinking (as it seems), it will be those states that get leaner and meaner first that come out OK.

I haven't delved into all the reasons, but somehow Arkansas has maintained a fairly balanced budge and only 7% unemployment. A relatively small public sector helps.
