I wonder if anyone noticed the guest (Bob of the Kemper fund) on Taking Stock 5:40pm CNBC today came out outright and said he would not hold any drillers until early next year. This is the first time I heard a fund manager or analyst mention a short term "sell". This time last year I was wondering if 1998 would be as good as 1997 for the drillers. Up to this point the answer is yes but last year was even more spectacular. And then the scare arrived in January of this year where some drillers were cut in half.

When Bob mentioned his short term bearishness, this scenario of 40%-50% retreat began to ring a bell in my ear. Afterall the uptrend fundamentals of the drillers have not really changed since last year. I think people should be careful.
