The uzi is a handgun, not a very accurate one, and shoots the same 9mm caliber as a Glock and one less round in a full size magazine, 32 instead of 33.

The Heller decision makes handguns legal to own as a personal right but also argues if you believe in the collective right then it would fall under the militia requirement of needed for service. Either way the uzi is in - full auto is a different subject.
