Yes, socially moderate and fiscally conservative is how most Blue Dogs self-identify. My guess is that most might want more social safety nets in place than would a typical libertarian. My own "adult" voting record is Reagan, Reagan, Perot, Clinton, Gore, no vote, Obama. Voted pretty straight R ticket in November. So even though a registered Dem, I vote all over the map. Fiscal considerations have been foremost in my mind since 1988. The budget problems we have now are what I always suspected would come to pass.....sadly.
