I would be willing to bet quite a lot of money she had no idea what the origin of blood libel was. Which is, of course, part of the problem with Palin- she's ignorant and makes no attempt to research her screeds before she issues them. It's unfortunate- but it's also a losing strategy. She will excite the faithful, and turn off everyone else. Which is nice.

It's another indication how totally unprepared she really is to run a national campaign, with her consistent poor judgment in matters like this.

As a possible Presidential candidate, Palin does bear watching, and thus some coverage by the news media is appropriate. But they could sure stand to take it down by about 95%.

Your comment reminds me of when Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol. I thought that the best response to that by the media would be to say, "Since we can't pronounce your name, we're just going to stop talking about you."
