I would suggest that not only COLAs be suspended, but a 5% decrease in benefits. The SS funds should be kept separate from the US Treasury. If that were done it would come a long way toward securing it.

However, this country and every country around the world is effecting this defacto devaluation of their currencies. If the other countries weren't doing the very same thing, the dollar would be @ over 2 bucks to the EURO.
