Very interesting Taubes article. One anecdotal quibble - exercise - or rather the lack of it - has an effect on my weight control efforts. Because of the cold weather we've been having I've wimped out on my twice daily bike rides, and my weight has gone from the 150 I try to keep it at to 157 as of this morning. There may be other forces at work, but that's the Occam's razor variable that jumps out at me.
