I don't know about Palin, but I'm betting X had no idea of its origins.

Not until she heard Madcow bring it up and immediately parroted her on VFC.

Heh! Heh!

The video montage of the "tweets," which was apparently sent after Saturday's massacre in Arizona that left six people dead and 14 wounded, including Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords, was reportedly posted to YouTube on Tuesday.

One of the postings read: "My hatred for Sarah Palin continues to grow... I think this woman should be assassinated. Sorry about chya," while another user said: "Sarah Palin should be shot for her encouragement of fanaticism against Democrats."

Meanwhile, Hemanshu Nigam, founder of SSP Blue, an online safety and security consulting company, said most social network companies like Twitter ban hate speech or threats and have "solid mechanisms" in place to report such messages to law enforcement authorities...

So Sarah Palin "should be shot" because of possible crosshairs on an image, and ordinary twitter users should have their messages restricted because they are too "hateful" but its perfectly ok to call for Sarah Palin to be shot... I guess you get a free pass if your on the left...
