You really are as dumb as an ox! It is always difficult to know when your ignorance is exactly what it appears to be, or if it is partially contrived to suit one of your intentional "misunderstandings". Carbon offsets have the goal of reducing the use of fossil fuels and providing reliance on new and existing forms of energy. Because acid rain is caused by the burning of fossil fuels, a decrease in one relates to a decrease on the other. As to carcinogenic effects of fossil fuels--there are many known carcinogens and many suspected. My post was very clear about how this appeal to self interest would create these benefits. "Using the free market and self interest to reduce the poisonous results of pollution such as acid rain is a great idea." My post said nothing about "carbon dioxide" causing anything. But I guess that is just you, eh?! I'm off for a weekend trip. Play with yourself and don't overtax your brain with digestion or REM or anything difficult...
