WebM just as good or better? WebM is a POS Google bought from Om2 to foist on everyone so Google can ultimately have control of one more piece of the internet, codec. Google's dream is to establish control of the codec through having WebM as the standard that they, not a committee within the industry, completely controls and when MPEG LA gets around to suing everybody for infringement and claiming royalties no sweat to Google, everyone else will be stuck paying the bill.
